How do I file a claim with wefox Insurance?

If you have concluded further contracts with other insurers (e.g. ARAG, Axa, Allianz, etc.) via wefox, please contact your broker or the insurance company directly. This will speed up the processing.

If you’re not sure which company is your insurance provider, please email us to

How do I file claims concerning other insurers, means not wefox Insurance AG?

If a wefox customer caused a damage to your car or property, please send an email to us with details to 

Your information: name, address and phone number.

Details of the wefox customer: name, address, contract number and car license plate.

Claim details: date and location of the event, description and images of the damage.

Our claims team will review your claim and will get back to you shortly.


What do I do if a wefox customer has damaged my car or my property?

A deductible is an amount of money that you are responsible for paying toward an insured loss.
 
You're responsible for your policy's stated deductible every time you file a claim. After you pay the car deductible amount, your insurer will cover the remaining cost to repair or replace your vehicle.



 
If you have a €500 deductible and €2,000 in damage from a covered accident, your insurer will pay €1,500 to repair your car, and you'll be responsible for the remaining €500.

How do car insurance deductibles work?

If your auto insurance deductible is higher than the cost of the damage to your vehicle, you'll pay for the entire cost out of pocket as the insurer only covers damages above your deductible amount. In these cases, you may not need to file a claim.

 
Your car repairs only amount to €500 and your deductible is €1,000. You'll pay for all the repairs out of pocket because the cost is lower than your deductible amount.

Your wefox App makes it easy to update your personal data, make changes to your wefox Insurance policies, including cancellations, or change payment methods with a few clicks.

How can I change my contact, account or address data in the wefox App?

Ask your broker if they offer wefox Insurance or schedule an appointment with a wefox exclusive advisor by clicking ‘Get advice’ in the header right on top of our website. You can also find us on most of the best comparison sites.

How can I buy wefox Insurance products?

How can I cancel my wefox Insurance policies?

If you cause an accident but don't damage your car, you won't pay a deductible. In this scenario, your liability coverage would pay for the other driver's injuries and property damage, which doesn't carry a deductible. However, if your vehicle is damaged in the accident and you decide to file a collision claim, then you would pay your collision deductible.

Do I pay a deductible if I damaged a car?

Glass damage to the car is usually caused by falling rocks. If you have partially comprehensive coverage, then you should be covered for auto glass repair, including a full windshield replacement. The defective part (windshield, headlight, mirror) will be repaired or replaced.


If a glass breakage is caused by yourself or as a result of vandalism / hit-and-run, only fully comprehensive insurance applies.

: You shouldn't wait too long after the damage occurs to report a glass claim, and the claim should be filed before any repairs take place. The longer you wait to get your windshield or window fixed, the more likely the chip or crack will spread.

Does car insurance cover windshield damage?

If your windshield breaks, you should file a claim as soon as possible and before any repairs are made. If the damage occurs while you're driving, pull over as soon as you can, and report your claim immediately.


If your windshield gets chipped or cracked, you should file a comprehensive claim as soon as you can, and before you proceed with repairs.

 You shouldn't wait too long after the damage occurs to file a glass claim, and the claim should be filed before any repairs take place. The longer you wait to get your windshield or window fixed, the more likely the chip or crack will spread.

What should I do if I have a broken windshield?

Over time, assets (cars, equipment, buildings) lose value due to age, wear and tear, or obsolescence. The amount that the asset decreases in value from the original value to its current value is referred to as depreciation.

What is depreciation?

A term for the fact that an insurance contract for the same person already exists or existed with the same or another insurance company.

What exactly is meant by pre-insurance? 

The longer a policyholder drives without a claim, the higher his no-claims bonus, expressed by the SF class. Driving license regulation possible (SF ½). Prerequisite driving license possession of at least 3 years.

What is a no-claims class?

The Switch Rate is a special rate in our company. We take the premium and benefit of the previous insurance and reduce the annual premium by 5%.

The following benefits are included: free choice of workshop, open driver circle, accompanied driving, a premium guarantee of 3 years (applies to rate premium adjustment.)

What is a Switch Rate? 

An eVB is the official abbreviation for electronic insurance confirmation. The eVB was introduced in 2008 as part of the Vehicle Registration Ordinance (FZV). As of this date, insurers were obliged to transmit the insurance confirmation electronically to the registration authorities. This is required when the policyholder moves or registers a vehicle.

What is an eVB?

Requests can only be submitted/offers can just be provided by our affiliated brokers, exclusive brokers, and through the wefox Insurance Portal.

How to submit a request for insurance?

The International Road Traffic Insurance Card – also known as the Green Insurance Card – is part of an international, predominantly European system that allows you to drive to other countries with your country of origin's third-party motor insurance without having to purchase additional insurance coverage under your national law. This can also be printed on paper.

What is the Green Insurance Card (Green Card)?

Just cars in private use (wagon number 112).

What do we cover with the car insurance?

Possible only for Comfort and Comfort+ rates. Not possible for the Switch Rates.

How can I change the rates?  

How can I remove partial Casco SB or full Casco SB?

Possible to cancel your contract after the end of a whole insurance year, after completion of claim settlement, 14 days after having received the first documents, 30 days after adjustment of benefits/premium/special termination, after deregistration through the registration office (decommissioning).

When can I cancel my contract?

The 2nd car regulation is possible (maximum SF4), the first car does not have to be insured with wefox. But then a proof of the second car regulation is required.

What does the 2nd car regulation look like?

Your bank account could not proceed with the payment, the SEPA direct debit mandate is blocked or there is already a credit.

Why has wefox not purchased my premium? 

I have transferred the premium to wefox already.

Has wefox received my transfer? 

Please always state the correct reason for payment (Verwendungszweck) and the insurance number, which is important for internal processing.

How do I pay my premium to wefox correctly?

Currently, we just offer the usage of Direct Debit and Credit Card. 

Which payment methods are possible? 

Anyone who lives in Germany, is over 18 years old, owns a permanently occupied house and has not had more than one claim in the last 5 years.

Who can purchase the homeowner insurance?

Multi-family buildings are excluded from our protection because separate protection requirements are prescribed by law for owners.

Are there certain buildings that can't be insured?

The sum insured depends on the value of the building. However, some tariffs also have fixed sums insured that depend on the tariff coverage.

How much is the sum insured?

No documents are required to take out the insurance.

What documents are necessary to purchase this insurance?

This depends on the claim. As a rule, you should contact us in the event of damage before you repair anything. We will then take care of the rest.
